Why You Need a 4×4 for Tawang

Sela Pass has snowfall from November through March. The road narrows to a single lane in several sections. We strongly recommend our Mahindra Thar 4×4 — it handles snow, mud, and steep inclines that standard cars cannot safely manage.

Inner Line Permit (ILP)

Indian nationals need an ILP to enter Arunachal Pradesh. North East Rental assists with ILP documentation. Foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) from the Ministry of Home Affairs — apply well in advance.

Best Season

October–November (clear skies, autumn foliage) and March–April (snow on Sela Pass but road open) are the most popular. Avoid June–September due to heavy rain and landslides.
