Hornbill Festival Nagaland 2025 — The Festival of Festivals
The Hornbill Festival (December 1-10) at Kisama Heritage Village near Kohima is called the “Festival of Festivals” — and it is the single most extraordinary cultural event in Northeast India. All 16 Naga warrior tribes gather for 10 days to share their traditional dances, warrior performances, indigenous games, local cuisine, handwoven textiles, and woodcarving craft — a living museum of one of the world’s most remarkable tribal civilisations, freely accessible to visitors.
